Description of Inflorescence and Flower : in axillary recemose panicles; rachis smooth,long, green; spikelet ca. 4.5 cm long, 6-10-flowered, the upper floret imperfect; rachilla ca. 5 mm long, clavate, yellowishhairy; empty glumes ovate, acute, thin, tessellate, yellow, tip ciliate, outer glume ca. 4 mm long and 1.7 mm broad and3-nerved, inner glume ca. 6 mm long and 2 mm broad and 5-nerved; lemma ca. 8 mm long and 3.5 mm broad ovate,acute, thin, tessellate, ciliate at the tip and upper margins; palea ca. 8 mm long, 2-keeled, ciliate on the keels, 2-nervedon either side of the keels, tip bifid and ciliate; lodicules 3, ovate, acute, fimbriate, 5-9-nerved, yellow, one is narrowerand longer than the other two. Stamens 3; anther ca. 2.5 mm long, apiculate, basifixed; filament ca. 5 mm long. Ovaryca. 2 mm long, linear-oblong, glabrous, reddish-yellow; styles with long plumose stigma.
