Culm Sheath Color : culm sheaths long, stiff, variable in size ,generally 25-65cm long (including blade),20-30cm broad, shining within,outer surface glabrous, pale-brown, narrowed at apex, broad at base,left side margin thin flexible and with black-brown hairs at apex right margin thick imperfect blade 7-30cm long, 6-12cm broad at base, triangular,with wavy depression, rounded at the base ,and then decurrent on the sheath in a narrow band, acute at the apex ,finally ending on both sides in small round auricles which is fringed by stiff bristles ,some times one auricles hidden on opposite side ligule 0.5cm broad,dentate.
