Description of Inflorescence and Flower : Divaricate panicle, spikelets pedicelled and provided with 1 to many membranous longitudinally striate bracts, 2-3 flowered, empty glumes 2, lanceolate,outer smaller than the inner ,lemma ovate, violet, many-nerved, lodicules3, small,rounded, tip ciliate, stamens3, pendulous, filaments long. Ovary with 2 stigmas, plumose.
